Melissa Robbins

Attorney

Melissa E. Robbins, formerly Melissa E. Oakes-Cook, is a Partner at Farrell & Robbins, P.C. She is married and has lived in Westford her whole life. She graduated in 2001 from Clark University with a BA in Government and a concentration in Pre-Law. In 2004, she graduated from the New England School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in the same year. Mrs. Robbins has been practicing in the areas of Land Use, Development, and Zoning since 2004. Mrs. Robbins is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Melissa is also an Adjunct Professor at New England School of Law teaching Land Use.

Kathryn Lorah Farrell

Kathy Farrell graduated in 1989 from Alfred University with a BA, cum laude, in Criminal Justice and Political Science. She then worked as the Personnel Manager for Northeast Security in Brookline, Massachusetts. In 1994, she graduated from the New England School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in the same year. Ms. Farrell practiced law in Lexington, Massachusetts in the area of real estate law until 2006 when she partnered with Douglas Deschenes and formed Deschenes & Farrell, P.C. On April 1, 2021, she partnered with Melissa Robbins to form Farrell & Robbins, P.C. In Westford, Massachusetts.

Kathy Farrell’s areas of practice are Real Estate Law, including representation of Buyers, Sellers and Lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions, Purchase and Sale Agreement Review, Closings, Condominium Law, Title Examination and Escrow Services, Probate, and Business Law. She is a title insurance agent for several title insurance companies. She handles real estate purchases in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Jennifer Griffin

Senior Real Estate Paralegal

Jennifer graduated magna cum laude in 2018 with an associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Massachusetts Bay Community College. She manages our real estate files, orders titles, updates, municipal lien certificates and plot plans. She regularly drafts deeds and other conveyancing documents and handles real estate matters as needed. She handles all aspects of lender real estate conveyancing including generating title commitments, Closing Disclosures/HUDs, organizing and preparing closing packages, post-closing, and disbursements.

Paula RC Bachtell

Attorney

Paula R. C. Bachtell, associate of the firm, was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1993 after receiving the degree of Juris Doctor from Western New England School of Law in May of the same year. She earned a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in 1989 from Boston College. Ms. Bachtell is also admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts. After nearly three decades, Ms. Bachtell retired from her position as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee, Region One, in Boston, MA. The United State Trustee’s mission is to promote the integrity and efficiency of the bankruptcy system for the benefit of all stakeholders- debtors, creditors, and the public. Ms. Bachtell’s responsibilities included litigating civil matters in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts on behalf of the United States, conducting meetings of creditors, appointing and assisting creditor committees, reviewing bankruptcy cases for instances of fraud and abuse, and making criminal referrals to U.S. Attorneys as appropriate.

Samantha Bailey

Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

Samantha Bailey, “Sammy”, is a administrative assistant and receptionist at Farrell & Robbins. In addition to working at Farrell & Robbins full time Sammy is also attending Middlesex Community College with a Major in Psychology. Sammy has been with the firm since September 2022.
